Photograph Conservation

Photographs can be a challenge to repair damage.  Often they are mounted on historic mounts that need to be retained, which can complicate the treatment process.  The delicate surface readily shows damage such as abrasions.  Nonetheless, tears can be mended and sometimes stains can be reduced or possibly overpainted to minimize their appearance.  High-quality reproductions can also be made of photographs for distribution to other family members.
