Unframed the photograph and surface cleaned to reduce inactive mold, insect debris, and grime. Mechanically reduced accretions as possible. Humidified and pressed to flatten the photograph and mount as possible. Stabilized loose corners of the frame. The frame was surface cleaned and waxed. Inpainted minor damage on the frame to minimize their appearance. Reframed the photograph, reusing the old glass, with acid-free spacers and acid-free, buffered boards.
