Parchment Diploma
1909; Engraving with manuscript ink on parchment
The parchment was carefully humidified to unfold flaps along the edges and then stretch dried to reduce distortions. This process was repeated a number of times until the parchment was relatively flat. It was edge mounted with Japanese paper to matboard and then framed.
